Who are Fallen Hero?

Fallen Hero is a fashion concept store based in Lincolnshire retailing some of the most desirable and sought after branded fashion clothing available, such as We Are Replay, G-Star, Lee, Gio Goi, Lacoste, Replay, Ringspun, Wale Adeyemi, Duck and Cover, Religion, Henleys, Sonneti, Teddy Smith, Pepe, K Swiss, Luke….to name but a few!!

How did Fallen Hero begin?

In 1983 we opened our first store on one of the main shopping High Streets in Lincolnshire, selling what were some of the top brands way back then. From day one we experienced a tremendous success and in 1987 we found ourselves outgrowing our store and having to look for larger premises. This was achieved and in autumn of that year we opened the new store with an updated image. The official opening was performed by none other than former World Snooker Champion Alex “hurricane” Higgins.

From that day the success of the business continued.

In 2003 we acquired further premises next door but one, this was due to the number of requests we had from customers that were showing an interest in new sought after brands. At the time we did not have the space to stock any more brands.

We spent months travelling to fashion shows throughout Europe acquiring new brands.

In November 2004, after a lot of time and effort and attention to detail, the Fallen Hero Fashion Concept Store was born.

Where did the name Fallen Hero come from?

This is a question that many many people have asked us and we thought you might like to know too. On February 25th 1989 our boss travelled to Las Vegas to watch the first World Heavyweight Boxing Championship Title Fight between Frank Bruno & Mike Tyson. After the fight, as he was leaving his seat, he happened to look round behind him and saw who he describes as the greatest ever sports person to grace our planet, the one and only Muhammed Ali. He was lucky enough to shake his hand and have a conversation with him. That momentous occasion stayed in his memory. Many years later when looking for a name for his new concept store, he thought back to that evening in 1989 and it came to him, Fallen Hero was perfect. Why? Quite simply because Muhammed Ali, is the boss’s very own Fallen Hero, through no fault of his own due to his illness.

In our store we have black and white photographs of Muhammed Ali and we have extended the ‘Fallen Hero hall of fame’ to include Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, Audrey Hepburn, Steve McQueen, James Dean, Bobby Moore, Frank Sinatra and many more.

Who would be your Fallen Hero?
